New Faces
This month we take a look at some of the new and recent additions to the Tōkyō suburban operations.

Keio's new 5000 series 1st entered service in September 2017. Designed to be used on Keio's New Liner services, they feature seats that can be changed from longitudinal to transverse. The new Liner services commence on the 22nd February. Set 5733 was seen approaching Sasazuka on a service bound for Shinjuku.
JR East's new E235 continue to be delivered to traffic on Tōkyō's Yamanote line. An inner circle (Uchimawari) service was seen here approaching Gotanda. At present there are 13 sets in serivice.
Tōkyū's new 6020 series EMU's, built for the Ōimachi Line are currently under test. They will commence operating the line's express services from March 2018 and share a common design with the Denentoshi Line's new and longer 2020 series. 6721 was seen appraching Midorigaoka on a test run while heading westbound in the direction of Futako Tamagawa.
