Sangi Railway’s 2’ 6” (762 mm) 20.4 kilometres’ Hokusei Line in Mie was taken over from Kintetsu in 2003. All photos were taken on 15th July 2012.
Car 171, built by Kinki Sharyo, leads a three-car set at the line’s terminus at Ageki with a ‘mini-me’ version operating close by.
Car 202, built by Nippon Sharyo in 1959, leads a four-car Nishi Kuwana bound train six kilometres from this station at Sohara.
Car 226, a Nippon Sharyo built type 220 dating from 1931, had been withdrawn in 1983. After that it was preserved in Yokkaichi until 2008. Starting in 2011 it was exhibited to the public here at Ageki.
